I whipped together this amazing smoothie the other day and managed to keep from downing it long enough to snap a few photos for this post 😉. So my latest obsession is coffee flavoured smoothies. Even though I don’t drink a lot of coffee, I have always loved coffee flavoured things. I use organic instant coffee grounds in my smoothie because I find it way easier than making coffee, letting it cool, and then adding it to my smoothie. The grounds blend up instantly, so don’t worry about getting gritty bits in your smoothie.
Instant Iced Coffee Smoothie Recipe
2 bananas (frozen)
3 medjool dates, pitted
1 1/2 tsp. organic instant coffee grounds (I use this brand)
water OR almond milk
(check out my video on how to make your own almond milk! It’s so simple, I swear!)
Note: to freeze bananas, peel them first, then stick them in a container or zip lock bag and stick them in the freezer.
