I meant to write about this months ago, but it got put on the back burner for some reason, and I’m just getting to it now!
Before I talk about my experience at the Abraham Hicks event, let me at first explain who Abraham Hicks is.
Abraham is a higher consciousness (a group of beings from the spiritual realm) channeled by a woman named Esther Hicks. Through Esther, they have written many books and give lectures and Q&As around the United States.
The teachings of Abraham, along with Rhonda Byrne’s book, The Power, have completely changed the way I view life and have had a massive impact on me.
Abraham teaches the Law of Attraction, which is a Universal Law that states like attracts like. This means that the power to create your life is in your hands. Things don’t happen by coincidence or chance but rather life responds to the thoughts, emotions, and feelings that you put out.
This winter, I was listening to Abraham on YouTube all the time, and I was loving them so much. I decided that I needed to go to a live event, so I found one in Philadelphia and booked my ticket.
This was the basis for the trip I took in May. I spent that majority of the time in NYC and took the bus to Philly for the event. You can check out My Spiritual Guide to New York City for more info on that!
At a live Abraham event, Esther Hicks comes on stage and says a quick hello before going into a state in which she is able to channel the higher consciousness (note: Esther doesn’t use the word channeling, but I think it’s the best way I can describe it).
The event is 4 hours long, and there are 20 minute breaks every hour. The event begins with Abraham doing a bit of a monologue, and then they move into the Q&A portion, where they call up members of the audience to the stage so they can answer their questions.
Abraham basically works on the energetic/vibrational level so by reading the energy of the audience, they give answers and information that are of the most benefit to everyone in the room. So even if you aren’t called up on stage, you get the information you need.
I had a really great time at the event. It was so cool to see it live, and it was really cool to see how the people called up on stage asked questions that I’d been wondering about myself. It’s true when Abraham says that whether or not you’re called up on stage, you’ll get the answers you were looking for.
Throughout the event, I could feel waves of energy going through my body, and I continue to feel them still (the event I went to was in May, so that was three months ago). I think being in the room with such a powerful energetic force helps to align your own energy and vibrations. Now, I get those energetic waves when something happens or a thought occurs to me that feels really right. I take it as a sign that this is a high vibrational thought and something that is right for me.
Going into it, I didn’t really know what to expect, and I thought being there would mark some instant transformation in my life, but it wasn’t like that. Being there was really cool, and the energetic shift I just mentioned was awesome, but it wasn’t like a pivotal moment in my life like I’d expected.
I think it’s better that way though. Something else or an outside event can’t really change you. It’s just our own internal shifts, helped along by external circumstances, that change our lives.
If it’s available to you and feels right, I recommend you check out a live event, but if that’s not possible, I think you can get just as much benefit from listening to their events on YouTube, which is what I do all the time.
Everything on Youtube is clips from their live lectures, and this one here is the full recording of the event I was at in Philadelphia.
Esther Hicks has also written a number of books, which are great, but I find that I prefer the audios.
Okay did that all sound completely crazy? Or kind of cool? Haha sometimes I wonder if people reading this will think I’m totally nuts, but all I can say is that this is making such a difference in my life, and I want to share it with others so it can help them like it’s helping me.
Have you ever been to an Abraham event? Would you ever go? I’d love to hear from you!
