I love doing A Photo an Hour posts. Not really sure why, but I just have so much fun doing them! The first one I did was back in the summer when I’d just moved in with my parents, and the second was during the beginning of my Fall road trip when I was in Montreal and then the last one was when I was in Ottawa. Now that I’ve moved downtown, I thought it’d be fun to do another
Here’s a look into a typical day in my life!
In my post about my morning routine, I wrote that I usually get up at 7, but lately I haven’t been setting an alarm and have just been getting up when I please, and it’s such a nicer way to wake up than to an alarm! I still wake up early-ish, and this morning it was 7:45.
8 am: Reading my A Course in Miracles lesson for the day and then morning meditation. Today’s ACIM lesson is “God is the only goal I have today.”
9 am: Finishing up my morning workout. I found these AWESOME free workouts online. They’re by TMac Fitness, they’re only 20 minutes, and they are intense. I have to say, intense HIIT style work outs are not usually my thing, but I really like these and feel so good after. You should definitely check them out.
10 am: Taking photo’s for the day’s blog post In case you missed it, I wrote about why I’m not drinking any alcohol at the moment.
11 am: Bloggin and promoting on social media. I love Instagram and Facebook, but still deciding how I feel about Twitter. Also, I have an irrational amount of drinks on the go, as you can see on the table :p Yay for hydration!
12 pm: Doin’ my hair! My hair is super curly, and I almost always straighten it. Back in 2009, I spent 6 months back packing, and when I got home I was feeling all au natural and hippie-ish, so one of my first nights out when I came back home, I wore my hair curly to the bar. A guy came up to me and said “Don’t take this the wrong way, but you look like Pam from The Office.” Goodbye au natural. Don’t get me wrong- The Office and Pam are two of my favourite things ever, but she was intentionally made to look kind of frumpy, and that’s not the look I’m going for :p
While I did my hair, I listened to one of the interviews on this year’s Tapping Summit. The Tapping Summit is an annual online conference filed with tons of free interviews with EFT practitioners around the world. If you are interested in learning more about EFT and how it can help you to make amazing changes in your life, I highly recommend checking it out (it’s only available for free for a limited time).
1 pm: So I sat down to finish my lunch, make a to-do list for the rest of my day, and check a few things online, but as per usual I spent way more time than I expected online because I got distracted by cute kitten pics and awesome cover songs. Worth it!
2 pm: Over at the public library doing some more blogging! Having a blueberry tea with soy milk, and it is pretty delish.
3 pm: Still blogging at the lib- working on a new page, and it’s filled with links to all of the people who inspire me
4 pm: After the library I went for a walk along the waterfront and then on an unsuccessful nail polish hunt. Does anyone know where I can buy SPAritual polish in Halifax?
5 pm: Snack time! I made a coconut banana smoothie and watched yesterday’s episode of Modern Family. Omg it was hilarious!! Love that show so much.
6 pm: Editing photos for this post My friend and I are hanging out tomorrow and going for tea to get work done, but we usually talk more than work, so I wanted to get this finished up tonight.
7 pm: Eating my veggie bowl while I wait for my sweet potatoes to bake!
8 pm: Doing dishes and listening to country music.
9 pm: Ending my day where it began! I love hanging out by my altar, and tonight I was reading and journaling and spending too much time on the Fat Jewish’s Instagram account. Also listening to the above mentioned cover song on repeat.
10 pm: Yin Yoga.
11 pm: Time for bed I loved today.
